Hi Relish Runners,

Welcome to Bath & Bristol Railway Races!

We're so excited that you're joining us at Bath & Bristol Railway Races on Sunday!

The prevailing weather conditions are for a warm day, in the 14-17 degrees range during the event hours, with a chance we catch some cooling rain during the event

It is still important to plan your day and your hydration, particularly for the longer races. Check out the free RaceReady app for expert guidance on hydration, nutrition and a huge variety of other information to help you get the best out of your race

1) Schedule - Individual start times are now online, check them out here FINAL SCHEDULE NOW. Number collection opens at 08:00. We recommend arriving ~60mins before your start time.

For this race we are starting runners in groups of up to 75-100 using the wave you selected at registration. Runners will gather in the starting area which is well spaced for the race briefing, there will be a count down from 10 for runners to move up to the start line and then that wave will get underway. There will be plenty of space at the back of each wave if people would feel more comfortable hanging back.

2) Number Collection - Number Collection is based on your EVENT Wave, this is the order that the various race waves such a marathon wave 1, half marathon wave 1, 10km wave1 etc are being slotted into the overall event program. Check your race number and you will collect it from desk which corresponds to your EVENT Wave.

Start lists - these are now published on our website. Race numbers are collected on race morning.

3) Parking - There is no on site parking and there is no on street parking. There are 3 public car parks within half a mile of Green Park, normal parking charges apply;

Bath Spa Train Station and the main Bus Station are also half a mile away and bike racking is supplied for those cycling to the event.

The route from the car parks to the event village is not signed so please be ready to navigate yourself to the event village; Green Park, Bath, BA1 1HZ. W3W /// flat.pans.necks

4) Race start - Please read the schedule to see what time your race starts and suggested arrival times to collect your number in Green Park. The start line is on the river path situated behind the registrations and baggage tents.

5) Start Times - You must start from within your allocated start wave. You will be called forward by EVENT WAVE. If you start in the wrong wave you will disqualified.

You can change distance by going to the Event Info desk on the morning of the race. We aren't able to make any changes ahead of the race at this time.

6) Drinks Stations - Runners are now being asked to be more self sufficient; it is better for the environment and it reduces contact points. It is looking like a warm day so please come prepared with your own water for during the run so you can hydrate regularly and you can top up as you go at our drinks stations which are roughly every 5km.

Pre Race - We don't have water for runners before the race as we have no way of refilling our own supplies. It may be hot, there is no shelter at the event village, so you need to bring your own water to ensure you are hydrated before your run.

During - For environmental reasons and so everyone can take a drink when they need it, we encourage everyone to carry their own water, particularly for the longer distance races. We will of course be looking after everyone with our amazing, and frequently placed feast stations along the routes;

10km - 1 drinks station
Half Marathon - 3 drinks stations
Marathon - 8 drinks stations
Ultra - 9 drinks stations

After - For all runners there are water refill points for your own bottles, or we can supply cups.

There will also be a huge buffet of tasty treats at the finish line and on the on course feed stations for the longer races, including GF and vegan snacks.

7) Photos - Professional race photos are available to purchase from Image Works Photography, you can search quickly using your race number or by uploading a selfie. You can register now to hear when your photos are up!

Photos are added to their site within 48hrs of the event and there is a 10% discount automatically applied on all purchases made with the first 48hrs of the photos going on sale.

8) On the Day Places - There are on the day spaces for each distance, please see the schedule for details. We can accept card, cash or contactless payment.

Runners can also swap distances going up or down a distance by reporting to Event Information on the day. We are not able to make any more changes at this time. The waves open to transfers is shown on the schedule, please arrive in line with the new times (you don't need to arrive early to decline your place in an earlier wave)

9) Refreshments - We have caterers and a coffee van serving tasty treats for runners and spectators during the event day.

10) Bag Drop / Bag Transit - Where do you want your bag after your race?

10km, Half Marathon, Marathon, 50km runners - We have a self serve bag drop in Green Park (Bath start/finish); drop and collect your own bag. It is attended; you need to show the baggage label matches your race number in order to be able to retrieve a bag.

25km runners - If you would like your bag to be at the finish line in Bristol, you need to load your bag into our white van at the park entrance / exit (on your way to the start line) all bags must be on the van by 11:00am. Alternatively, if you would like you to collect your bag from Green Park (Bath) bag drop, you can leave it in the main baggage tent. Any bags in the main baggage tent will not be taken to Bristol.

11) Toilets - We have portaloos for this race in the event area, please don't water the hedgerows as well as on the course for the 25km, Marathon and 50km runners.

15) Shared Path - Please follow the basics that we are all accustom to; respect everyone's personal space, take advantage of the additional hygiene measures...and most importantly, remember to smile and enjoy your day! Please remember that we have no priority on the path and runners need to share the path and give way to other users, thank you.
